October 20, 2006 Our friend Crystal came over to introduce us to her new baby boy Aiden. He’s just six weeks old and oh, so tiny. Violet ignored him for awhile and went about her business. She danced and showed off her toys. At one point she came close to Aiden and pet his head like she would the cat. Things changed after I held Aiden. Suddenly, the visit had gone on too long and Violet had had enough. Crystal asked Violet if she would like to hold the baby. She sat in my lap and Crystal handed Aiden to me. There are no clear pictures of this because Violet immediately pushed him away. No thank you. This my lap. We don’t need a baby here. Go home. Maybe we’ll wait a bit before we have another child.
