Scary Information Recently Acquired

Today I learned two very disturbing things:

1.  Firefighters often do not enjoy roast pork or cracklings because they have an aroma that is not unlike burning human flesh. Yum.  You can thank Christopher Hitchens for that bit of trivia.

2.  About half of all food products containing high fructose corn syrup, also contain mercury. Oh, and the FDA totally knows about it, but whatever.  Quaker Oatmeal-to-Go is poisonous.  How many ways can junk food kill us?

I'm just going to stop eating.
