Sun Stroke

So, yeah.  Remember when I moaned endlessly about our stupid weather and how it was bumming me out and making me sick?  The pollen! The rain! Wah, wah, wah.  Well, the sun is like a mother on her last nerve.  I took my whining one step too far, as all children do,  and the sun gave me a good case of heat stroke as my reward.  Today, I am laying low and drinking a lot of water.  Violet has permission to consume a few extra freezer pops.

Next weekend I won't spend 3 hours in uninterrupted direct sunlight, with only one bottle of water.

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is Yellow and since I am staying inside enjoying the cool of my living room and my living room just so happens to be yellow...I thought I would participate. Voila!

  1. Oh no poor you! Sure you're not British?

Lovely golden shot there - wish we had some yellow - any yellow - even a yellow t-shirt! Nothing! And colour replacing yellow - well it's not easy :)

  2. I don't think you can ever have to many freezer pops when it's so hot out, lol. :) Hope you're feeling better soon!

  5. Yikes! Hope you feel better. That is a cautionary tale, indeed.

P.S. I used to have a lemon yellow living room! But it started to drive me crazy after awhile.

  6. It's been hot and humid here too. Today it's almost 90 so I decided to take Binny to the beach. Too bad there were signs posted that said they treated the water for algae and swimming today was not advised. Now we're going to set up the slip n slide. Summer's here!

  7. We were supposed to go to a proper playground with a shelter and a sprayground and the city hasn't turned the water on yet. Memorial Day is the day, no matter how freakin' hot it is! Instead we went to this outdoor shopping center that has a play fountain and NO SHADE. I blame the city for my dehydration.

  8. I go back and forth on my living room wall color. It's a deep gold, almost mustard-y shade and until I got my fancy camera everyone looked jaundiced in photographs. I'm back to liking it again.

  9. Ha Ha Ha! Actually, my paternal ancestry is largely Welsh and German. The pasty faction completely negates the Native American pigment from my mother's side. So, I have an intolerance for heavy drinking and a tendency to sunburn. I am a hoot at summer barbecues!
